Mount Kulis, Eco Tourist Campsite and Fresno Agro-Forestry are the new destinations in Sitio Maysawa, Tanay Rizal, Philippines where you can experience nature camping and seeing a sea of clouds without the extreme effort of climbing a mountain. This destination is good for beginners.
The summit of Mt. Kulis (620 masl) where Cardo Dalisay’s meeting place in TV show “Probinsyano” is located. Locals said kubo at the summit was purposedly built by the team, while the other one is being renovated where hikers can rest or even pitch their tent at night.
The thought of climbing again after total lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic had really pushed me into an extreme excitement when my brother invited me to join and organized tour in Mount Kulis. The tour package was P1,200 but I did not mind the cost because that is also for my health benefit. I did not mind researching for this because what I only need at that moment was to experience again mountaineering.
A few meters from the campsite, Noah’s boat can be seen in the middle of the mountains. If you want to sail on the breathtaking sea of clouds and to complete your thrilling adventure, enjoy the picture view on top of Noah’s Ark. A boat anchored on top of the limestone rocks and located where the sea of clouds appears in the morning. You will just have to wake up early to experience this scenery. It requires 30-45-minute trek with some downhill and uphill.
Spider Web
It took us almost an hour to enjoy the giant spider web, since the first two groups stayed long while they were on their turn. There will be no problem with regards to the photographer, because the tour guides are already well-trained to capture best shots in this specific location.

HOW TO GET THERE:
By Private Transportation
Via Sampaloc in Tanay, Rizal – Take the Tanay-Sampaloc Road. Drive straight until you reach the junction then turn left to Marcos Highway. Continue driving until you reach Maysawa Road. Turn right then straight up to Fresno Agro-Forestry and Eco Tourist Campsite Registration Area.
Via Marcos Highway – Drive along Marcos Highway passing Masinag, Cogeo, Boso-Boso Resort, Palo Alto, and Garden Cottages until you reach Maysawa Road. Turn left then straight up to Fresno Agro-Forestry and Eco Tourist Campsite Registration Area.
By Public Transportation
Ride a van/jeepney from Cubao going to Cogeo Gate 2. (Fare = P24-P30, Travel Time = 40 Minutes)
Take another jeepney at the terminal beside CityMall going to Sampaloc, Tanay. Get off at Sitio Maysawa or jump-off to Maysawa Circuit. (Fare = P45, Travel Time = 1 Hour)
Take a tricycle or walk to get to Fresno Agro-Forestry and Eco Tourist Campsite. (Fare = P45-P50, Travel Time = 45 Minutes or Less).
