EXPERIENCE TREASURE MOUNTAIN (Sea of Clouds) Rizal, Philippines (MKG Travel 2019)

Treasure Mountain in Tanay, Rizal is a perfect mountain destination for beginners. A breath taking view that would probably fascinates all the individuals who wants to witness the amazing sea of clouds. Just 2-3 hrs away from Metro Manila.

I suggest that you should spend your night at their camp site and wait for the sea of clouds to appear in the morning. Surely you won’t regret sacrificing for a day just to see how beautiful and relaxing view awaits you.

NO HIKE: This is for the whole family! Nakakaakyat po dun ang SUV, motor, at tricycle.

Route 1- Marikina

From Marikina ride a van or jeepney going to Padilla/Cogeo Gate 2 P25-30. From Cogeo take a jeep bound to Sampaloc in Tanay. Get off at the jump-off to the Maysawa Circuit. P45 Here, you may go on a 20-minute trek to Treasure Mountain, or wait for a tricycle to take you there.P50

Route 2 – Cubao
From cubao ride a jeepney or fx going to Cogeo Gate 2 – P25 / P35
From Cogeo ride a jeepney to Sampaloc then tell the driver to drop you to Maysawa Circuit Jump Off of Treasure mountain. P45
Habal-habal to Treasure Mountain from jumpoff- P50

I. Rates:
Walk-ins are allowed for day tours, reservation required for overnight stays

– Day Tour 4AM to 3PM (150 Php)
– Overnight 4PM to 1PM (200 Php)

Children 6yrs old below- free

II. Parking:
– Private Vehicles Php 40
– Motorcycle Php 20

IV. Camping Fees

– Tent Pitching Fee (own tent) Php 300 per tent

– Tent Rental Fee (good for 2 pax) Php 500 per tent

– Tent Rental Fee (good for 4 pax) Php 800 per tent

V. Overnight Lodging

Php 500/person minimum 2, maximum 5

Kubo Rental Php 3,500 (max 6 guests)

If you’re worried about food, fret not, for Treasure Mountain has a snack store. You may also request meals to be prepared beforehand. They also offer native goat cooked four ways! You may also use their kitchen, and they also have a karaoke.

Use of Kitchen – Php300
Tour guide to Busay Falls – Php500/maximum of 5 pax

Bonfire – Php50/wood bundle

Breakfast (must be ordered beforehand) – Php120/meal

Lunch/Dinner (must be ordered beforehand) – Php250/meal

Native-goat-cooked-four-ways (kinilaw, papaitan, sinampalukan, kalderata; must be ordered beforehand) – Php7,000/goat

For me it is an extraordinary experience as a beginner and I expect more fun and challenge to my next travel around the Philippines.
